CAVEAT is unique by being a Web-based tool, with an enterprise back-end database structured to support a large enterprise's IT inventory. By being web-based, it accommodates different IT infrastructures (e.g., Desktop Operating Systems) and gives access to a large user base without the need for additional installations on the user's desktop. This also provides for easier maintenance and support. Finally, CAVEAT uses one of the latest JAVA frameworks to enhance the user's look and feel with maintaining user friendly navigation throughout the tool.
